SecQon Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective date: 31 August 2026 · Version: 2026-08-v1

This policy explains how to stop paying us and when we give money back. It applies to every SecQon subscription sold by Infiqon Private Limited (CIN COMPANY_CIN), registered office REGISTERED_ADDRESS.

It sits alongside the Terms of Service — Section 7 (fees), Section 8 (free plans), Section 16 (suspension and termination) and Section 17 (changes). Where this policy is more generous than the Terms, this policy applies.

1. Who takes the money

Paid plans are sold and billed through INFIQON Billing, our group billing service. INFIQON Billing is the merchant of record: it runs the hosted checkout, uses Razorpay as its payment gateway, issues your GST-compliant tax invoice, and processes any refund back to the payment method you used.

SecQon never holds your card details. That matters here for one practical reason: a refund can only go back to the original payment method, because that is the only route the gateway offers. We cannot pay a refund to a different card, a different account, or in a different currency.

2. The free plan

The Free plan needs no card and costs nothing, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. It is not a trial that lapses into a paid plan: one verified asset stays free indefinitely, and if you stop using it, nothing is charged.

3. Cancelling a paid subscription

3.1 You may cancel at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fee and no minimum term.

3.2 How. Write to support@secqon.com from the email address of an Owner on the account, naming the organisation you want cancelled. We will confirm in writing.

We would rather tell you that than dress it up: there is no cancel button in the app yet. A one-click control is coming, and until it ships an email to support is the route, answered by a person.

3.3 When it takes effect. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your plan keeps working until the end of the term you have already paid for — you do not lose access the moment you cancel, and we do not pro-rate a term you chose to buy.

3.4 What happens to your data. Nothing is deleted on cancellation. Your account reverts to the Free plan's limits at the end of the paid term, and Section 9.6 of the Terms governs export and deletion after that: you may export your Reports for 30 days after termination.

3.5 Cancelling is not deletion. If you also want your data erased, say so — see the Privacy Policy, Section 9.

4. When we refund

Subscription fees are paid in advance and, as Section 7.4 of the Terms says, are not refundable by default. These are the cases where we do refund, and they are not discretionary — if one of them applies, ask and we will pay.

4.1 We charged you wrongly. A duplicate charge, a charge on a cancelled subscription, a charge at the wrong amount, or a charge after you asked us to stop: refunded in full, including the tax charged on it.

4.2 You never got the service. If a paid subscription could not be used at all for the term you bought — because of a failure on our side, not a misconfiguration on yours — we refund that term in full.

4.3 You reject a material change. If we materially change the Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or the Rules of Engagement and you do not accept the new version, you may stop using SecQon and receive a pro-rata refund of the prepaid, unused part of your term (Terms, Section 17.2).

4.4 A first paid term you regret. Within REFUND_WINDOW_DAYS days of your first paid charge on an account, you may ask for a refund of that charge and we will give it, without an argument about why. This applies once per organisation, to the first paid term only.

5. When we do not refund

5.1 A term you used and simply stopped wanting, outside the window in 4.4. Cancel and the renewal stops; the term you already bought runs to its end.

5.2 A period during which your account was suspended for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy — pointing SecQon at systems you had no authority to test being the clearest example. This is stated in Terms Section 7.4, and it is deliberate: the refusal to refund is part of what makes the authorisation promise mean something.

5.3 Findings you did not like. A scan that reports nothing wrong with your systems is a service delivered, not a service that failed. We will not refund a clean result, and we will not manufacture findings to avoid the question.

5.4 Overage or usage you actually consumed, where a plan is billed on it.

6. How to ask for a refund

Email support@secqon.com with:

  • the invoice number or the payment reference from your tax invoice;
  • the organisation name on the account;
  • one line on which case in Section 4 you think applies.

We acknowledge every request within 3 working days and tell you the outcome with a reason. An approved refund is issued by INFIQON Billing to the original payment method; how long it then takes to appear is your bank's, typically 5 to 10 working days.

If we say no, we will say why, in writing, and you may escalate to LEGAL_EMAIL.

7. Tax on a refund

Where GST or another tax was charged on the original invoice, a refund includes the proportionate tax, and INFIQON Billing issues a credit note against the original tax invoice. If you claimed input tax credit on the original invoice, the credit note is the document your accountant needs — keep it with the invoice.

For an export of services invoiced at zero rate, no tax was charged and none is returned.

8. Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, please write to us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback freezes the amount for weeks and, under Section 7.5 of the Terms, lets us suspend the Service until the balance is settled — so it is usually slower than asking us, and it interrupts your scanning. We have never refused to look at a genuine billing complaint.

9. Changes to this policy

This document carries a version identifier and a SHA-256 hash of its exact text, both published on the page you are reading. A change applies to charges made after its effective date; it never reaches back and withdraws a refund right you already had when you paid.
